This is a Request for Information (RFI) - this is not a request for competitive pricing or a process for the Town of Palm Beach (Town) to purchase. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information. No award will be made based on the results of this process. The Town is considering a consolidated system for facility access, monitoring fire and security alarm systems, and building automation (control of HVAC, lighting, etc.) for all of the Town's facilities. The Town is also interested in a Video Management System.
Interested vendors are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply these services to the Town of Palm Beach. It is important that responses be submitted by the date and time listed. All responses must be submitted electronically through the Towns' on-line platform. To access the platform, go to the Town's website at www.townofpalmbeach.com, click "Doing Business," click "Bids and Requests for Proposals" and follow the instructions . The Town only accepts online submittals through Negometrix, the eProcurement platform linked to the Town website, promoting a greener footprint. If you are not registered through the website you are required to do so (at NO charge). The RFI is also advertised through DemandStar and Public Purchase, however all proposals must be submitted through the Town website. Written proposals will not be accepted. BACKGROUND The Town of Palm Beach is on a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway that was incorporated in 1911. The Town is approximately 16 miles long and is comprised of approximately 9,200 full-time residents and 25,000 seasonal residents. The Town's approximately 360 employees offer the residents Public Safety (3 Fire Stations & Police Department), Public Works (a main facility & several pump stations), Recreation (Center, 2 Tennis facilities, Marina facilities, Beach & Park facilities, Par 3 Golf Course & Club House), and a Town Hall (administrative offices). REQUIREMENTS In addition to flexibility, versatility, and ease of use, the primary functions of the system being sought for the Town should include, but are not limited to: - Building/Area access - controllable, flexible
- Monitoring of all Town facilities - fire and security
- Building Automation - HVAC control, lighting control, etc.
- Video Management - Town-wide integration of security cameras
INFORMATION TO BE SUPPLIED Firms are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply the commodities and services described. The information provided may be used to formulate a future solicitation. Companies are asked to address the issues (outlined on the Questionnaire) as completely and succinctly as possible.
